1 Chronicles

1 Chronicles retells Israel’s history with a focus on David’s reign, emphasizing God’s covenant promises, the importance of worship, and the central role of the temple. Written for returning exiles, the book reminds Israel of their identity, their spiritual heritage, and God’s faithfulness. More than a historical record, 1 Chronicles is a theological encouragement pointing the nation back to God’s purposes.
