Lamentations

Lamentations is a poetic and emotional response to the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC. Through five carefully structured laments, the book expresses grief, confession, shock, and hope. While acknowledging God’s judgment for sin, Lamentations also highlights God’s steadfast love and mercy, even in the darkest seasons. It teaches God’s people how to mourn with honesty while still trusting in His faithfulness.
